Gullible Travels

The headlines state, ‘the world is a safer place’..., except if you’re poor, a minority member, a women, a child, a teenager, a worker, a senior citizen, a thinker, still have blood flowing through your veins and live on planet earth, for there is still plenty of bombing to do, profits to make, lies to speak.

    Just think if this crap lingers until memorial day, fourth of july. This will be the summer in hell. Senator Susan Collins, who is evidence that even a dead frog can be a politician, stated, ‘we still have reason to be fearful and must be on our watch’. I guess this another tip, we will continue bombing the hell out of the planet with as many different lies as there are bombs. As long as there something to cheer, since, I think sports are losing their excitement.

    It didn’t take a single day for the G to deny withdrawing troops from anywhere. Someone should round up the streetcorner cheering sections and put them on a transport to Kandahar. Especially the frat boys - it’s never too soon to prevent another president.

    Today is my mother’s 100th birthday. Unfortunately she only made it to 97.

    About Bin Laden...think about how many laws were broken to bring one man down and think about his ‘crime’. He spoke out against the USA slaughter of 500,000 Iraqi children. I remember the tape Bin Laden made (For those here, the one book Bin Laden mentioned was our friend, Bill Blum’s. That endorsement got Bill an appearance on a few TV programs.) The US policy of assassination is a crime. The torture that supposedly led to his location is a crime. The violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan is a crime...on and on.  Anybody wonder why Bin Laden was not arrested and put on Trial. The answer is obvious. The USA crimes would make anything Bin Laden did pale by comparison. So much for the Rule of law.

  5. Has the question come up about the stories stating Bin Laden died in 2000 or before?

    I read this twice, last time around 2006. I certainly won’t believe any ‘head-lines’.

  6. Joe, I’d take that as evidence of people willing to believe anything as long as its not from the government. Can’t blame them, but its poor logic.

    RMJ: Democracy Now covered this minor development - “Murderer kills murderer.”

    I work in /the village shop, and get a good look at the papers whether I want to or not. The right wing press say he was killed ‘resisting’. The right wing press say he died ‘cowering’. I wish to master the art of simultaneously resisting and cowering; a part of my masterplan to become lord of the absurd. ("A-ha! Your Tiger Claw style is no match for my Cowering Mouse!")

    This from Salon; the whole ‘human shield’ story stank to high heaven anyway - such an obvious part of The Narrative of the cowardly oriental terrorist. I’m literally stunned with boredom that it turns out to be bullshit.

  9. Ooo, I need political advice!!! We have elections tomorrow. I have the choice between the Conservative Party, candidate or the Liberal Democrat party candidate. We have a coalition Conservative-Liberal Democrat Government.

    The Liberal Democrat Deputy PM said to the Conservative PM (just after a joint interview) “We need to find somethnig to disagree about, we just keep agreeing on everything” [roughly word for word if memory serves]..he didn’t realise a camera crew was close by.


    This kind of Democracy brings a tear to my eye.

  10. All the headlines I’m seeing are still based upon the assumption the obl story is true, that he was found still alive somewhere on this planet.

    There are so many events that the everyday joe, like myself, can’t prove or disprove. Since this information came from the degenerates in d.c., I will assume it is bullshit and feel no obligation to disprove their bullshit. If their story is not bullshit..., so what!

    1600-2011, murder, poverty, slavery, imposition of hypocritical religions, more wars, more murder, inequality, discrimination, hatred, destruction of natural resources and life support systems, all of this insanity simply repeats itself and had nothing to do with someone living elsewhere in bogeyman land.

    Now what, the slaughter of millions of people, and life support systems on other countries are ‘worth it’, are destroyed and some stupid quiz show host announces to the nation, we got him.

    Once again the suffering of other people everywhere is displaced while everyone jumps on this ‘story’.

    The wire above the playpen, with all those colorful spinning toys. Spin the blue one, watch his eyes as the cute bird spins round and round. Now, spin the yellow one, see how easily he forgets the blue one. Now, spin all of them, see how he becomes uncertain, he can’t focus.

    All those memories and since politicians can’t think, they resort to their shallow memories, resort to past ideas, that were never good ideas, repeat, regress into the stone ages, applaud the idea. Reader misinterprets what a great teacher meant by ‘intentional suffering’ and feels what politics has imposed should be accepted. Intentional suffering meant, the individual must look at himself and make effort to transcend who they are and become who they really are. The self-observer won’t like what he sees, what he has allowed himself to become, if he makes effort as opposed to marching in place in quick sand.

    what if there was a way to measure how many deaths an individual has caused?  Obombya is bad enough, but people like Dick Cheney, that were in influencial positions in government for decades...making deadly decision after deadly decision… If it were possible to measure, that would create my Ten Most Wanted list.
