5 Reasons Why Technology Can Never Be Neutral
-
Good afternoon Mickey. I think the word technology is used as recklessly as the technology itself.
Just because there’s a new widget on the store shelves, I don’t think we should have a techno orgasm.
The medical profession boasts of the latest, greatest, people die from treatment and incompetence but their technology still wants paid, so does the ceo of the hospital, the surgeon and anyone else who jammed in on the action.
Too many minds are developing newer ideas and objects that are of no value but they create dollars and most often for the very few.
Here’s another story about the ‘smart meter’ issue, IBM, GE and other corporate clowns insuring profits by having the ‘technology’ mandated by law.

Hi Mickey, Joe, and all…
Sorry to hear about Joe Bageant. I had one phone conversation with him a while back. He impressed me with his humanity. There now will be fewer smiles in the world.
When I think about the plusses and minuses of the techno world, I always think about the Manifesto by the Unabomber. He is a really smart guy.
About the complex world we have created - just a few miles from me there has been a mass evacuation - 100 houses many people since yesterday. Seems a fully loaded propane truck overturned and has been burning since. Everyone is waiting for the predicted explosion…

The back of System of a Down’s first CD had a photo of a computer chip that resembled a creepy crawly...a megapede, maybe?
Class traitors in America are sleeping easy now that Joe Bageant has passed. What a monster bummer. The good news is that his works aren’t going away anytime soon. “Joe Bageant Lives” graffiti must be in the pipeline somewhere.
The Bangor Five were sentenced in Tacoma yesterday; they’re a Plowshares action that made an octogenarian-led foray into the nuclear sub base on the Olympic Peninsula. They got from two to fifteen months in the Federal pen. Still no word on Wall Street prosecutions. http://tinyurl.com/5tq79wg

Hi Zen… I have been following the case of the Bangor 5...as I said in Court “...The way this country is heading, soon all people of peace will be behind bars...”.

There aren’t enough police to arrest us all or enough jails to hold us all and when the collapse really hits, there won’t even be enough money or electricity to keep the cops and corrections officers working.

Yes, not only are the grand deciders verifying their incompetence, they are also affirming their backwards, stupid nature.
The new governor of Maine wants to be sure he is viewed as the other deciders. He has been in office for 2 months and has most of the state wanting him out. If he had any integrity he would resign immediately. There’s no need for a governor. With the numerous politicians there are, if they need a figure head, a pomp formality, they’re pathetic and even without a governor they’d be pathetic.
Governor’s are too expensive and they’re hurting people who need help. Christ all of this is so fucked up!

This might be another example of excellent technology or marketing.
Paying a premium price for a pair of pants that are already worn out, marketed as more comfortable, already ‘broken in.’
Now I’ve got to ask, why do people pay more for a pair of pants that are pre- worn out, when the non-worn out pants are of poor quality?
Do we need to ask why there is little objection to paying for war? This will be my last rant for at least 15 minutes.

We need a good rant every 15 minutes.
