My system is crashing, but the fault is here not with Mickey’s site. Need a new computer $$$$.
Nice photo on front page. Who did the calligraphy? Great.
A day without trees is like a day without air. I don’t have much, but I do have a lot of trees and I love ‘em all.

Beautiful photography and haiku....Lots of trees here too, scattered stands in and about the neighbourhood. I live in a part of town that used to be an orchard back in the early days, so there is lots of fruit for the picking. What I notice most is the bird song...some tree-stands are just rockin’ out the tunes. And I notice the light is different filtered through the leaves and branches, smells mighty good too.
Andy Goldsworthy is a Scottish artist who travels the world producing beautiful works of art in nature. He has produced a documentary about his work called Rivers and Tides...Here’s part one on youtube… I found the dvd in my local library.

Yes, Trees are wonderful. We have lots of them.
This morning at 5am, we were outside between 2 Owls that seemed to be talking to each other.
Frances, you are lucky having lots of Fruit trees. While growing up, I spent much time sitting in an Apple tree.

Hi Joe, yes I am lucky...the thing I like the most about Andy Goldsworthys’ work is he provides a wonderful example for communicating with the natural world…

Hello everyone. Spent some time making friends at the Wall Street occupation today...and even managed to get myself interviewed (see below).

Friday, 9/23 is an all-star post: a great tree article (plus points for not-on-paper) and two moving photos.
Tell me again why you don’t have a regular feature on Democracy Now? (Nevermind, I’ll ask them myself.)
Nice to see everyone. It makes me almost not want to mention Obama telling black people to “stop complainin’ and fight” only a few days after Troy Davis got lynched. I think that about wraps the discovery phase on the Ivy League Oreo charges.

Brian Jones has a great review of Obama and the current administration over at socialistworker.org
